Biohacking Faces

Given that Biohacking is an unregulated science, it is inherent that the idea of Biohacking is plagued with many ethical questions and issues, as is any other science.

Social Concerns

  • Is it wrong to Biohack?

    • Not at all​, biohacking is simply taking more control of, "hacking", not just yourself but the things around you. It's being the best "you" that you can be through the DIY processes of science, namely biotechnology. Click Here To Learn More

  • How would you know what's considered "too far" if Biohacking is all about looking at things solely from an objective point of view?

    • Though there is no real way to say, as "too far" differs from person to person. A general rule-of-thumb that you can take on for biohacking is to never do something that either contradicts with your morals or could potentially harm another living being.

Political Concerns

  • Is Biohacking legal?

  • Can Biohacking be used to create harmful biological hazards?

    • The answer to this one is both yes and no. While biohacking does indeed promote practices such as experimenting with bacteria and other living things around you, it does not promote the augmentation of these organisms to serve as reagents of bio-terrorism.​ Click the previous link to learn more.
